Referrals
Pupil referrals are informed by a daily handover from medical teams and NerveCentre. Pupils who have long-term chronic conditions and frequent hospital admissions are prioritised for teaching. Pupils with acute conditions or who have only been admitted recently will be offered some schoolwork after a few days.
Liaison between the Hospital School and pupils' home schools will take place where appropriate.
At all times, pupils will remain on roll with their home school and attendance data will be shared upon discharge, if required.
